thank you to everyone for dropping by @ my blog. While some of you would want to find any latest legal articles, there are also people who expect that they will get FREE LEGAL CONSULTATION from me through this blog. I have received several emails from unknown people who's facing legal problems/ legal action whether initiated by the banks, or companies, or individuals. There are a few who's now facing bankruptcy action, & still expect my FREE LEGAL OPINION.

The main objective of turning my personal blog into BICARA LEGAL is to create people's awareness on certain legal aspects, i.e.:-

1. why do you need legal protection
2. the importance of engaging a lawyer (legal representation)
3. what type of advice will you be getting when you engage a lawyer

The issue of cost in engaging ANY lawyer ONLY FOR OBTAINING LEGAL OPINION were raised by several people. Obviously there are people who still hoping to get free legal opinion in order to avoid from being a bankrupt or in order to settle their problems with banks/ financial institutions. The return is GREAT! You escape from bankruptcy, you escape from court action and you get it all FREE. Would that be fair to the lawyer who provide the legal opinion? How about their time spent for giving the advice? Not only that, there are people who expect that the lawyer can call the banks & negotiate on their behalf. PLEASE TAKE NOTE, a lawyer cannot represent his client without being appointed. For this, you will have to give him a letter of appointment. Not so many people willing to do this, because they know that if this is the case, then they'll have to pay the lawyer.

So, what's the alternative? A lawyer cannot provide legal opinion for free. Why?

1. Where's the dignity of the legal profession?
2. Isn't being a lawyer is our ricebowl?
3. Don't get us wrong, we lawyers do provide FREE LEGAL OPINION. But we do it through Legal Aid Bureau.
4. Will you as a client, give your fullest cooperation & commitment when the cost is free?

As an alternative, some of the lawyers provide legal seminars. And I conducted the same seminars as well, only for RM100 per pax. This may save your cost.

The first seminar went well. Forget about the numbers of participant and look at the quality of the participation during the seminar. The participants took all the opportunity to ask me anything related to the legal problem that they're facing. In fact there were some who brought with them the summons/ bankruptcy suits that being served on them. Before they went back, they came to me & my assistants and said "thank you for this seminar, those who did not attend this seminar should feel regret for not coming". Thank you guys for your participation.

Right after the seminar, I started received emails and phone calls, a lot of people keep saying they missed the 1st seminar & expect for the next seminar to be conducted. And, in the meantime, they want me to provide them legal opinion FOR FREE. In fact there some who want me to go and sit down with them, listen to what they wanted to tell and expect me to provide FREE LEGAL OPINION. I've still receiving these kind of phone calls and emails. You may look at the old message from my cbox, there were a few people who requested for the next legal seminar to be conducted. That's the reason why I decided to conduct the next training/ seminar on 3rd August 2008.

Don't be surprised, only 1 person registered. And I've deciced to cancel the seminar.

I don't feel frustrated. I don't feel demotivated.

& I decided to continue conducting legal seminars/ trainings, only upon request, by a group consisting of minimum 10 person, @ RM250 per person.
